Cross-country Skiing & Cross-country Report

St. Anton am Arlberg is now also considered a destination for cross-country skiers. Tyrol awarded the 40-kilometre-long network of trails the quality seal for cross-country skiing.

Essential criteria for the award were the high guarantee of snow, good designation of routes, the number and length of cross-country trails with differing levels of difficulty and the parking possibilities even for day-trippers. The approximately 40-kilometre-long cross-country network offers many comfortable but also more athletically challenging types of route, thus satisfying a variety of levels.

Something Other Than Skiing (PDF-Download)

LOIPE ST. CHRISTOPH 2.5 km
Level: intermediate; high altitude track featuring skating track (altitude: 1,800 m), perfect meeting point for alpine skiers.

LOIPE STANZERTAL 22 km
Starting right next to Wertstoffhof farm at the Aubrücke bridge. Easy track along the Rosanna river leading to Flirsch.

LOIPE GANDERAU 3 km
Starting east of Hotel Tirolerhof; easy loop trail, dogs allowed. Connected to the Stanzertal track.

LOIPE VERWALL 10 km
Outstanding track at 200 m from Hotel Mooserkreuz. Slight ascents, easy descents leading across the romantic Verwalltal Valley, past the homey Inn and the water reservoir.

LOIPE REIT 2 km
Easy, flat, 2 km long, in the Easten part of Pettneu, with connection to cross-country tracks in Stanzertal, ideal for training.

POFEL RUNDE 1.5 km
In Pettneu, East of Wellnesspark between Rosanna and Schnellstraße (land road), step-up and depart.

All our Cross-country ski tracks -where possible- are being prepared for skating as well. However, we kindly ask you to take care where the tracks are narrow.

Floodlight Cross-Country Skiing (in Pettneu am Arlberg)

Every Monday & Friday from dawn until 9.00 pm starting at the Wellnesspark in Pettneu. The 2.5 km cross-country skiing track in Pettneu am Arlberg is the ideal floodlight place to be for those who love nature at its best in a very particular surrounding, low light, shade and the evening air. Parking is available at the Wellnesspark directly.
